From September through February, demand for fashion jewelry climbs every week — so does lead time at every wholesaler we know. If you ship to North America or Europe, two questions matter more than any trend forecast: will my orders arrive on time, and will the pieces I need still be in stock when I order them?
How Hengdian (HD) Jewelry plans peak-season capacity
Our production line in Haifeng runs three shifts at peak. The capacity we can promise you in September is not the capacity we can promise in November. Here is how the calendar typically splits, based on what our wholesale buyers actually ordered in past seasons.

- New designs drop weekly, catalogs refresh in real time
- Re-orders and add-ons accommodated flexibly
- Ready-to-ship orders ship in 7–10 days
- Bestseller colors and categories need earlier pre-lock
- Line moves to double and overtime shifts; capacity fills first
- Custom plating orders close for the season
- Ready-to-ship still available, but bestsellers may not restock
- Orders after February are accepted only per actual capacity
Note: the dates above describe our standard peak cycle. After February, whether and when we can take new orders is decided by actual production capacity at that time — there is no fixed schedule, so confirm with us before planning around it.
Three things you can do in September to avoid December panic
Lock bestsellers early
Place 20% of your projected Q4 bestseller volume in September. You will pay standard lead time, and your best sellers will not sell out under your feet in week 47.
Mix safety and signal
Build your Q4 order as 70% proven core designs plus 30% new drops. The proven lines keep cash flow steady; the new drops give you social-media content for Black Friday and Christmas.
Confirm custom briefs early
If any of your volume involves custom plating or color matching, send the design brief before the end of January. Anything confirmed after that risks missing the February cut-off before the line closes for the cycle.

How long is the lead time right now?
Ready-to-ship orders ship in 3–5 days from September through November, and 7–10 days from December through January (exact date per our agreement). After February, lead time is set by actual capacity at the time. Custom plating runs on a separate schedule and closes with the February cut-off.
Can you rush an order?
For ready-to-ship lines, we can usually accommodate a faster turn on small batches if our warehouse has the SKU in question in stock. Custom plating orders cannot be rushed once production has begun.
A bestseller just sold out. What is the substitute?
Check our weekly new-arrival catalog for the closest sister-piece in the same family. Sold-out SKUs are rarely restocked — we shift capacity to new designs rather than back into old ones.
What is the smallest order I can place?
6–12 pieces per SKU for ready-to-ship. HAI-coded lines start at 30 pieces. We do not break packs or mix designs within one SKU line.
